Michael
Senior Project Manager
Michael brings more than 25 years of working with top general contractors and municipalities in the Colorado market from project start-to-finish, including civil construction management, project coordination, budgeting and closeout. Having a long career in Colorado, he has built countless relationships in the general contractor, private, and public sectors of the local civil contracting industry.
In his current role, he is responsible for running the day-to-day civil construction management of the Aurora Highlands, a 3,000+ acre commercial and residential master-planned community with more than 30 contractors. The project will consist of more than 20,000 residential units, along with a large retail and commercial development. When completed it will be one of the largest projects in the Denver Metro area. Throughout his career, Michael has enjoyed helping to build corporate profitability, along with mentoring younger staff, and building a culture of accountability and high-integrity within companies.
Among Michael's most rewarding career highlights was as the project manager for the civil portion of the Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium. The project consisted of 80 acres and included the excavation and removal of an abandoned landfill, and the import and placement of 300,000 CY of structural fill.
Outside of Contour, he enjoys big game hunting, fly fishing, golfing and travel.
Fun Fact? Michael grew up on a 1,600-acre farm in southern Colorado, where he was operating a tractor by the time he was six. On his family's farm, they raised 1,200 cattle, pigs, chickens and horses (with an oink oink here and a moo moo there).
